Adjunct – Montessori Education

Chestnut Hill College Montessori Teacher Education Program is seeking applicants to add to our pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach Montessori Infant Toddler courses for the 2025 Spring, Summer, and Fall Semesters.

Chestnut Hill College, founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1924, is an independent, Catholic institution that strives to foster equality through education.  The mission of the College is dedicated to promoting the spiritual, academic, social, ethical, and moral development of the whole person. The College, situated in Chestnut Hill, a charming neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia, serves a culturally diverse student body.

Courses:

  • UEMN 236/MONC 036: Infant Toddler Montessori Environmental Design II, (Spring, Fall)
  • UEMN 235/MONC 035: Infant Toddler Montessori Environmental Design I, (Summer)

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree, in an Education related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of least five years of practical classroom experience.
  • A record of instructing adults as assistants, parents, or adult learners.
  • Specialized expertise in Environmental Design at the Infant and Toddler Level.
  • Expertise in the Montessori philosophy, principles, and instructional methods.
  • Expertise in selecting appropriate Montessori materials, designing comprehensive lesson plans, and expertly supervising a classroom dedicated to the care of infants and toddlers.
