Help Heal the Wounds that Divide Us
October 4th - November 4th
Did you know that in the past year, over 1,500 individuals in Philadelphia alone, have been victims of fatal or nonfatal gun violence?
A piercing wound we cannot ignore is the tragic and untimely deaths in our city as a result of the gun violence that has overwhelmed our streets. Join Chestnut Hill College and the Institute for Forgiveness and Reconciliation as we aim to raise awareness, advocate for social change, pray, and work together to help overcome this horrific violence. We can make a difference in creating a safer city and a better world.
What Can You Do?
Speak Up and share your story of how gun violence has affected you.
Show Up on October 6th, 16th, and 20th. All events are free and open to the public.
Stand Up with your peers and colleagues to advocate for healing and peace.
To get involved with the planning circle for these events, please email Sr. Cathy Nerney, SSJ. If you have lost a loved one to gun violence and wish to honor them in October, email Anna Ryan-Bender.
