The soaring, five-story Rotunda in St. Joseph Hall is one of the most iconic and beautiful parts of Chestnut Hill College. The breathtaking Rotunda has witnessed many weddings, parties and gatherings of all kinds. Student winter and spring formals are held here and it is left for the junior class to fix up on Christmas Decorating Night.
Whether you want to get your pump on, work off that cafeteria lunch or just enjoy some indoor cardio while listening to great music, the Fitness Center is open. With a state-of-the-art design, a weight floor with a wide variety of strength training equipment and a top floor with cardio equipment and a meeting area, the Fitness Center is one of the gems on campus. Everyone with a CHC ID is welcome.
This courtyard, complete with fountain and benches, is a favorite location for CHC's pet dogs—Griffin and Kostka—and for our students who often visit them during study breaks.
Home to many of our athletic teams, Sorgenti Arena is where you might catch a volleyball game, play intramural basketball, take a yoga or Zumba class or one of many other PE classes.
Upperclassmen jump at the opportunity to live in the Loyola Lodge. Why? Because it is full-service. The Loyola Lodge is an easy walk from main campus, located on the beautiful grounds of an elegant former estate. The pool, pool house and tennis courts make it feel like home away from home.
The Campus Ministry office is always open and welcoming to all students. Tea time is a favorite activity.
A sweeping lawn fills the space in front of the Summerhouse. Sit and study or take a break and play ball.
If you ask any student about Martino 215, they will know instantly what you are referring to. A full-service Mac Lab 215 is where video editing, Photoshop and other multi-media classes are held. When classes aren't in session, all students are welcome to use the lab and its many features.
Students love to hang out here. You can pick up your SEPTA tokens or participate in student events, including Fun at One and Stuff a Bear.
Another great place to hang out—with a large-screen TV, pool tables and plenty to eat. Social events are also held in the Griffin’s Den.
A quiet space for reflecting (or possibly viewing the cutout of Pope Francis). You are welcome to attend mass and other religious services here.
