Religion Historian to Speak at Honors Convocation 

Richard C. Goode, Ph.D. to Deliver Keynote Address

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Richard C. Goode, Ph.D., professor of history at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee will deliver the keynote address at Honors Convocation on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 1 p.m. in Sorgenti Arena.

Dr. Goode is the founder and coordinator of the LIFE Program (Lipscomb Initiative for Education) which conducts undergraduate liberal arts classes for inmates and Lipscomb’s traditional students at the Tennessee Prison for Women.

Professor Goode is the author of numerous articles and scholarly presentations on topics of history, history of religion and Christian vocation. He is the editor of “Writings on Reconciliation and Resistance” by Will D. Campbell, (Wipf & Stock, 2010) and co-author of “Crashing the Idols: The Vocation of Will D. Campbell (and any other Christian for that matter)” (Wipf & Stock, 2010). He was the recipient of the Lipscomb University Outstanding Teaching Award.
