Holy Family University Eludes Griffins for CACC Win
Philadelphia, PA – (2/4/2010) – Chestnut Hill College held Holy Family University in check at the start of this evening’s Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest as the opponents were locked in a 14-14 tie, with 11:45 remaining in the opening half. Lightning Strikes In Second Half to Stun Griffins
New Castle, DE – (2/2/2010) – Junior guard Jessica Pruiti (Old Bridge, N.J.) gave Chestnut Hill College their initial lead in this evening’s Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Goldey-Beacom College. The Griffins held a 23-19 halftime lead but 13 points from freshman guard Devonn Richardson (Baltimore, Del.) and a rededicated rebounding effort bought the Lightning back for a 65-50 victory on their home floor. Three Griffins reached double figures, but they were responsible for 42 the team’s 50 points as the Lightning limited Chestnut Hill College’s role players. More...

Women’s Basketball Takes Conference Loss against Warriors
Philadelphia, PA – (1/30/2010) – Chestnut Hill College trailed Nyack College 24-17 at halftime of this afternoon’s Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest. The Griffins forced the Warriors into 11 second-half turnovers and shot 31.3% (10-of-32) in the closing period, but Nyack College still led by as many as 23, 54-31, before winning the contest 54-43. Freshman forward Lindsay Alexander (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) led the Griffins with 14 points and six rebounds.
