Young Talent Bolsters Roster for 2010 Success; Men’s Tennis Season Preview
Philadelphia, PA – (1/13/2010) – Junior Carson Richter (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) remains as the most tenured Griffin on the men’s tennis roster, which has expanded with an influx of young talent. Five newcomers join Richter, and sophomores Julius Twyman (Coatesville, Pa.) and Adrian Avena (Vineland, N.J.) on the men’s tennis roster. A squad which has already recorded a 1-2 mark and was ranked ninth by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), on the November 6th in the DII East Region Rankings. Based on last year’s success and the new talent on board, Head Coach Albert Stroble looks to bring the Griffins to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships this spring. ITA Ranks Chestnut Hill College Among Top Ten in DII East Region
Skillman, NJ – (11/10/2009) –
Chestnut Hill College joined fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) members, Concordia College, Philadelphia University, and the University of the Sciences on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) DII East Regional Team Rankings. The Griffins ranked ninth in the region on the November 6th poll. Men’s Tennis Grabs First Win; Tops Golden Rams
West Chester, PA – (9/26/2009) – Chestnut Hill College started this afternoon’s match at West Chester University strong with a 3-0 lead, sweeping doubles play. The Griffins earned their first win of the year with a 6-3 triumph after taking wins at number two, three, and five singles. Freshmen Pat Joson (Old Bridge, N.J.) and Joe Boyle (Doylestown, Pa.) both scored wins in each format, leading the Griffins in their final fall match. More...
