Admissions Process

With all of the forms, personal essays, standardized tests and deadlines, the Chestnut Hill College Admissions staff understands that the entire admissions process can be a bit confusing (not to mention nerve-racking.) Which is why we’ve established a simple, step-by-step checklist for you to follow, ensuring that you know what you need to complete and by what date.   

1. Chat with an admissions counselor

2. Schedule a visit

No one knows our campus better than our students. Join a student-guided tour Mon-Fri, or attend a Saturday visit.

3. Fill out an application

You've dipped your toe in the application process, and now its time to jump in.

  • Apply now online with our brief application (we don't accept the Common App.). 
  • Pay a $35 non-refundable application fee.
  • Send your SAT or ACT results (School codes- SAT: 2082 ACT: 3450) 
  • Request your official high school transcript to be sent from your guidance office.
  • Recommended: Essay/personal statement or letters of recommendation

4. Send in your official documents

CHC either accepts SAT or ACT.  An average ACT score of 20 and an average SAT of 500/math and 500/verbal is preferred. We also look for a GPA of 3.0 and up. 

You will need to send your official transcript from your high school, and your official SAT or ACT scores.  You may have your guidance counselor mail or fax your official high school transcript to (215) 248-7082.  Send your SAT or ACT scores today through College Board using our school code: 2082 for SAT and 3540 for ACT.

6. Fill out your FAFSA forms

The sooner you begin the financial aid process the better.  Do not delay on putting your financial situation in order.  The FAFSA form is available Jan. 1, for students interested in the Fall semester.  The form must be completed by May 1.  Chestnut Hill College's FAFSA code is: 003245

7. Submit enrollment deposit

Upon your acceptance, you may enroll by submiting $500 for a residential deposit or $300 for a commuter deposit to reserve your spot as a member of the incoming Class.  Deposits are non-refundable after May 1.
