SEGAL EDUCATION AWARD

Are you interested in earning money for school through service? Students participating in the Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania program are eligible for a Segal Education Award upon completion of their service (please note the Education Award is taxable).

Students pledge to complete either 300 or 450 hours of community service in one calendar year, and upon completion receive either $1,175 or $1,468 in a financial education award for their dedicated service.

FEDERAL WORK STUDY

Students participating in both the Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania and Community Liaisons are permitted to count their service hours for Federal Work Study (FWS).

Students must complete a FAFSA form in order to be eligible for Federal Work Study. The FWS allotments are made by the Financial Aid office based on financial need. You may utilize work-study earnings to help defray costs during the academic year. The money you earn will be paid directly to you bi-weekly to a direct deposit account you have established. Since the Federal Work-Study Grant pays you directly, work-study money is not deducted from your tuition bill.
