New Students
Chestnut Hill College Office of Residence Life looks forward to welcoming new and transfer students on Friday August 24, 2012. New students will receive housing information in May in their on-line enrollment packet. In order to secure housing, new students are asked to complete a Housing Agreement and a Housing Questionnaire. Housing Assignments are mailed to students in early July.
More details will be available during summer orientation, known as Griffin Days. More information will be provided about signing up for one of these orientation sessions from the Office of Student Activities in late spring.
Room Features and Furnishings
All residential rooms include the following for each resident:
• Standard twin bed
• Desk and desk chair
• Dresser & wardrobe or closet
• One cable and telephone port per room
* Refrigerators more than 4.6 cubic feet in size. Only one refrigerator per bedroom is permitted, unless two smaller units do not exceed 4.6 cubic feet. Microwaves bigger than .6 cubic feet in size with a maximum of 700W cook and 300W defrost capability.
Microfridge Rentals
The Microfridge is a refrigerator/freezer/microwave unit delivered to your residence hall room. Why worry about moving a fridge back and forth when a full unit with a real freezer can be delivered for you. This is a yearly rental program, often shared between roommates. Microfridge on-line ordering will be available in May 2012 at www.universityelectronics.com.
