Academic Achievement Award in the Biological Sciences: The Biology Department offers students 50% reimbursement for expenses relating to courses taken in advance of, and in preparation for, standardized professional school entry exams if the student has a grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 at the time of course enrollment. These preparatory courses methodically prepare students for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and the Dental School Admissions Test (DAT) but the award is not necessarily limited to these specific testing areas.
Amelia Kulkosky Scholarship in the Biological Sciences: This $2500.00 scholarship award toward tuition reduction over four years will be given to one exceptional, incoming major in the Department of Biology who enters our majors program in Biology, Molecular Biology or Environmental Sciences. The candidate must also declare an interest in obtaining a major or minor degree in music or participate heavily in the College’s performance ensemble program. The award will be given to one Departmental major with the best incoming academic record as judged by their SAT scores, high school GPA and a potential audition by faculty of the Music Department.
