The Griffin Fund

The needs of a private college in today’s world are many. As a small Catholic institution dedicated to teaching, Chestnut Hill College is largely tuition driven. Although tuition for undergraduates at Chestnut Hill College exceeds $24,900, it provides only 60 percent of the real cost of educating a student. To maintain its tradition of excellence in education, Chestnut Hill College seeks additional support through your generous charitable contributions since the College receives no financial assistance from the Catholic Church or the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and funding from state or federal agencies is given only for specific projects or programs. Contributions from alumni, parents, and other friends are investments in the College’s future and help assure that a Chestnut Hill College education will be available for future generations.

The Griffin Fund is the College’s official name for its annual fund.  The total dollars raised through The Griffin Fund provide needed monies above and beyond tuition and investment income to operate the College each day.

Gifts from all alumni, parents, and friends to the College through The Griffin Fund have a direct impact on the daily experience of every student, every day, on every inch of our campus – in classrooms and labs, on playing fields, in art studios and on the stage, and in the library and technology centers.
