Experience Tai Chi Easy™ Classes
Thursday, September 10, 2009
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Come experience the Chinese healing art of Tai Chi and
its "mother" Qigong (Chi Kung) at Tai Chi Easy™ classes at Chestnut Hill
College. These one hour classes, designed to help beginners discover
the world of “moving meditation,” will be offered on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and
Thursday evenings at 5:00 p.m. from September 10 through November 12, 2009 in
the Middleton Parlor in the Rogers Center. Father Al Smith, OSFS, a
practitioner member of the National Qigong Association with more than 200 hours
of teacher training from the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi, will lead
the class.
Tai Chi can provide
relaxation, help participants focus on the moment, and allow their energy to
flow more freely. The movements (that can even be done while sitting) are easy
and fun to do. Course participants are asked to wear loose fitting clothing to
class.
Tai Chi Easy™ will be offered at $10 per class. For
more information or to sign-up, please contact Mary Elizabeth Clark, SSJ, in the
Sisters of St. Joseph Earth Center at 215.248.7225 or e-mail mclark@ssjphila.org.
